Teasin’ the Cat was an American rock/blues band formed in Seattle, Washington in 2008 by friends Kevin Kiive (lead vocals and drums) , and Rob Bouvart (guitar and backing vocals).  Gary S (bass guitar) joined the band in 2010. The band stopped preforming together on 2020.

While the band’s music is primarily rock it also incorporates elements of blues, rockabilly, and country music.  The band’s live shows include a mix of original and cover songs that tend to be lively, upbeat, and dance-able.

The band favors vintage instruments and sounds, and the three musicians have experience with a variety of musical styles between them.  The band’s able use of inventive vocal and guitar melodies combined with a powerful driving rhythm section makes for a surprisingly rich sound for a three piece band.

The band’s first album, the eponymous Teasin’ the Cat, was released in 2014.

Our next CD is due to be released early in 2018.
